ITH Charities’ Advanced Education Night of Hope for Zambia

POHP Events has years of experience providing event rentals, lighting design, and audiovisuals for non-profit events and fundraisers in Atlanta. Recently, we had the honor of providing our event lighting and audiovisual services for Advanced Education Night of Hope for Zambia. Hosted by ITH Charities, the fundraiser was held at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North, and featured entertainment by Atmosphere Trio Jazz band, a silent auction, raffles, and a variety of notable guest speakers.

Night of Hope for Zambia was held to benefit the Mukaliakwa School in Zambia, which currently has one pit-latrine for 850 students and staff. All proceeds for the evening went towards the construction of new pit-latrines, as well as new teaching quarters that will allow the school to grow the teaching staff. The fundraiser was also held to support an ITH Charities program that will provide eye clinics for 1,000 children in Zambia.

ITH Charities hosted the event in collaboration with Zambians Promoting Leadership in America and the Ivan Allen College Global Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (GWEI). Information Technology & Healthcare Charities’ (ITH Charities) mission is “to make a meaningful contribution toward the reduction of poverty through information technology solutions and healthcare initiatives.” They work to make a real difference in the lives of those living in the world’s most impoverished communities, and they invest in a variety of charities, philanthropies, and institutions and facilitate projects that will improve the lives, health, and education of people across the globe.
